Interior Painting Tips

Interior painting does not only adds effect to a home but also gives hint to the owner’s elegance and taste. In choosing an interior painting, one should set things straight.

Below are the things to do before doing your interior painting.

• Move out or cover furniture and floor to avoid damages and paint drops;
• Clean surface thoroughly before painting;
• Check for repairs;
• Wear necessary painting gears such as globes and mask;
• Put on globes or lotion on hands to avoid difficulty in removing paints on hands;
• Slosh roller and paintbrushes. Dip tools on solvents they use: water for water-based paints and thinner for oil-based paints.

Below are the things to remember when doing your interior painting.

• Always start painting from the ceiling;
• Brush wall edges and corners first before using rollers on wider areas. Its best to put adhesive tape on wall edges to avoid overlapping of paint;
• Pull adhesive tape before the paint dries;
• For trimmings, put adhesive tape on desired width and length before trimming. This would make it easier for you to trim and prevent paint overlapping;
• Always clean as you go. Peel-off adhesive tape before the paint dries;
• Clean paint spots and tools for you to reuse them.
